Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his warm greetings to the nation on the occasion of Dhanteras, the first day of the Diwali festival, and prayed for the well-being, happiness, and prosperity of all citizens. Known as Dhanatrayodashi in Hindu tradition, Dhanteras is a day dedicated to wealth and health, marking the beginning of Diwali celebrations.

In his message on social media platform X, PM Modi said, “Heartfelt Dhanteras greetings to all my family members in the country. On this sacred occasion, I pray for everyone’s happiness, prosperity, and good health. May Lord Dhanvantari bestow his abundant blessings upon all.” His message emphasized the importance of collective well-being and the spiritual significance of the festival.

Dhanteras is traditionally associated with worshipping Lord Dhanvantari, the deity of health, and Goddess Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth. Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda also conveyed his best wishes, emphasizing both prosperity and health. He wrote, “I extend my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to all of you on the sacred festival of Dhanteras, which brings prosperity, health, and well-being. May your life be filled with happiness and prosperity, wealth and abundance, and joy, by the blessings of Maa Lakshmi Ji and Lord Dhanvantari Ji. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also joined in the greetings, posting, “Heartfelt congratulations and infinite best wishes to all of you on the sacred festival of Dhanteras!
