CHANDIGARH, Oct. 17, 2025Harcharan Singh Bhullar, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Punjab Police in Ropar, was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for allegedly demanding a bribe of ₹8 lakh from a scrap dealer. The case came to light after the complainant, identified as Akash Bhatta, reported Bhullar’s misconduct. Bengaluru Junior Student Arrested for Rape of Senior on College Campus

BENGALURU, Oct. 17, 2025A shocking incident of sexual assault occurred at a private engineering college in Bengaluru, where a junior student allegedly raped his senior on campus. The accused, Jeevan Gowda, has been arrested by the Hanumanthanagar Police and remanded to judicial custody.
