President Droupadi Murmu Begins Six-Day Odisha Visit with Religious, Academic and Development Focus

President Droupadi Murmu will begin a six-day visit to her home state Odisha, marking an important tour filled with religious, academic and cultural engagements. She is scheduled to arrive in Bhubaneswar this evening and will travel across several districts including Khordha, Jajpur, Balasore, Puri and Mayurbhanj as part of her official programme.


According to the schedule, “President Droupadi Murmu is scheduled to undertake a series of religious, academic and developmental engagements in Odisha over the next few days.” On Tuesday, the President will offer prayers at the Maa Biraja Temple in Jajpur and perform rituals at Navi Gaya. Later in the day, she will attend the 12th Convocation Ceremony of Fakir Mohan University in Balasore as the Chief Guest, followed by a visit to the Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri for darshan.


On Wednesday, President Murmu will visit her home district Mayurbhanj, where she will take part in several important programmes. These include the inauguration of a holiday home at Rairangpur, a visit to a Girls’ Higher Secondary School, the unveiling of a statue of tribal leader Bhanjbir Sunaram Soren, and the inauguration of a new sports complex, highlighting her focus on education, heritage and youth development.


Her visit will continue on Thursday with participation in a special programme at the Rairangpur Jagannath Temple and a visit to Simlipal National Park. On the 6th of the month, the President will interact with tribal women and youth groups before returning to Bhubaneswar to attend the Black Swan Summit India. She is scheduled to leave Bhubaneswar for Chhattisgarh on the 7th, concluding her visit to Odisha.
