According to information from local authorities, Warner tested positive for blood alcohol levels significantly exceeding the legal limit during a routine breath analysis conducted on the night of April 5, 2026.

Officials from New South Wales Police stated that Warner’s vehicle was observed approaching the testing location on Malabar Road when he reportedly parked short of the designated area. Police officers approached his vehicle and performed a roadside breath test, which indicated a positive result, leading to his arrest.

Subsequent testing at the Maroubra Police Station showed Warner’s blood alcohol concentration at 0.104, well above the legal threshold. In accordance with regulations, Warner was issued a Field Court Attendance Notice mandating his appearance before the Downing Centre Local Court on May 7, 2026.

Warner’s Status in International Cricket

Being a prominent figure in Australian cricket, David Warner announced his retirement from international formats on June 24, 2024, after Australia was eliminated from the 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
