UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan arrived in New Delhi on Monday for an official visit, amid rising tensions in the Middle East. The UAE leader was warmly received at the Delhi airport by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, underlining the strong relationship between the two countries.


The Ministry of External Affairs said the visit is based on an invitation from PM Modi and aims to build on the growing momentum in India-UAE relations. The leaders are expected to discuss key areas such as regional security, economic cooperation, energy, and strategic partnership. This meeting comes at a time when global attention is focused on the West Asian situation, making the discussions even more important.


PM Modi posted on X that the UAE President’s visit shows how much importance he attaches to India-UAE friendship. Modi expressed his eagerness for the talks and highlighted that the strong bond between the two nations is growing steadily.


This visit is Sheikh Mohamed’s third official visit to India since he became the President of the UAE, and his fifth visit to the country in the last decade.
