Karnataka BJP president B.Y. Vijayendra has raised concerns over the state’s financial position, alleging that limited funds are affecting development activities and assistance for drought-hit farmers.

Speaking on the issue, Vijayendra said, "... We are protesting against the state's worsening financial situation. The letter from the Finance Department to the Chief Minister regarding the state's finances, which, according to us, indicates concerns over announcing new schemes and the availability of funds. There is insufficient money for development works and for supporting drought-affected farmers, while new projects and schemes continue to be announced..."

Vijayendra’s remarks focused on a Finance Department communication addressed to the Chief Minister, which he said points to concerns over the availability of funds for newly announced schemes. He also questioned how development works and support for drought-affected farmers would be financed amid the reported financial constraints.

The BJP state president’s comments have brought the state’s finances into focus, particularly the availability of resources for development works, farmer assistance and the implementation of new schemes.
