Akhilesh Yadav Announces ₹40,000 Scheme for Women, Targets BJP in Dadri Rally

Lucknow | 29 March 2026

Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav on Sunday addressed a public rally in Dadri, Gautam Buddh Nagar, where he made a key announcement for women’s welfare. He said that if his party comes to power, it will launch the “Stree Samriddhi Samman Yojana,” under which eligible women will receive financial assistance of ₹40,000 as a mark of support and empowerment.

During his address, Yadav strongly criticised the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), accusing it of making false promises and engaging in unfair political practices. He alleged that earlier elections were influenced through dishonest means and raised concerns over issues such as fake encounters and administrative pressure. He also questioned recent verification exercises, comparing them to controversial national-level policies.

The Samajwadi Party leader further allegedly targeted the BJP over unfulfilled promises, including job creation, farmers’ income growth, and financial commitments to citizens. He claimed that employment generation was never a priority for the ruling party and alleged irregularities such as exam paper leaks. He also opposed the Agniveer recruitment scheme, stating that his party would discontinue it if voted to power.

Responding to remarks made by Narendra Modi, Yadav defended his party’s development record in Noida and expressed confidence in the prospects of the opposition alliance in upcoming elections. He also promised to review cases filed against individuals under the current government and assured that his party would work towards inclusive development  Akhilesh Yadav Announces ₹40,000 Scheme for Women, Targets BJP in Dadri Rally
