LPG Prices Rise in Meerut; Domestic Cylinder Now Costs ₹910.50

Meerut | 7 March 2026

Residents of Meerut will have to pay more for cooking gas as the price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinders has been increased from Saturday. The revised rates have affected both domestic and commercial cylinders, adding extra pressure on household budgets as well as food-related businesses.

According to the new prices, the commonly used 14.2-kg domestic LPG cylinder now costs ₹910.50, compared to the earlier price of ₹850.50. This means consumers will have to pay ₹60 more for each cylinder. The increase is expected to directly impact families who rely on LPG for daily cooking.

Officials from the Meerut LPG Dealer Association said that the prices of smaller cylinders have also been increased. Association president Namo Jain stated that commercial cylinders have also become costlier, which may raise operational costs for hotels, roadside eateries and restaurants.

The price rise is also likely to affect small vendors and street food sellers who depend on FTL cylinders for their businesses. With higher fuel costs, many businesses may eventually increase the prices of food items, which could indirectly affect consumers in the coming days.
