Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has approved financial allocations totaling ₹227.73 crore for a range of state development projects, alongside clearing an increase in dearness allowance (DA) for employees of autonomous institutions operating under the Seventh Pay Commission.

As part of the approvals, ₹59.11 crore has been sanctioned for redevelopment works in the Rodi Belwala area under the Haridwar Ganga Corridor project, aimed at upgrading riverfront infrastructure and urban facilities in the city, a major religious and tourist hub. Separately, the Chief Minister cleared the release of the second instalment—₹3.95 crore—toward construction of a boundary wall and main gate at the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly complex in Bhararisain, the state’s summer capital in Chamoli district, against a total project cost of ₹9.87 crore.

In addition, ₹164.67 crore has been approved under the Special Assistance Scheme for Capital Investment to States (2024–25). The funds will be utilized by the Housing Department for nine infrastructure projects in Mussoorie, Dehradun, and Nainital, implemented through the respective development authorities. These investments form part of Uttarakhand’s broader initiative to strengthen urban planning, housing, and infrastructure in hill towns and expanding urban areas.

Alongside development funding, the CM approved a revision in DA for regular employees of U-COST (Uttarakhand State Council for Science and Technology) and U-SAC (Uttarakhand Space Applications Centre). Eligible employees will see their DA rise to 55% from 1 January 2025, further increasing to 58% from 1 July 2025, aligning it with periodic revisions granted to state government

The approvals aim to boost infrastructure, urban development, and administrative efficiency.

Under the Haridwar Ganga Corridor project, ₹59.11 crore has been allocated for redevelopment works in the Rodi Belwala area, enhancing riverfront and urban facilities in the major pilgrimage and tourist hub. Additionally, ₹3.95 crore has been released as the second instalment for constructing a boundary wall and main gate at the Bhararisain Assembly complex, the state’s summer capital.

The state government has also approved ₹164.67 crore under the Special Assistance Scheme for Capital Investment, to fund nine key urban development projects in Mussoorie, Dehradun, and Nainital. These investments aim to strengthen housing, urban infrastructure, and regulated growth in hill towns and expanding urban areas.

On the administrative front, the DA for U-COST and U-SAC employees has been revised to 55% from 1 January 2025, increasing to 58% from 1 July 2025. The move aligns these autonomous bodies with state-level government DA revisions, providing financial relief and support to employees.
