Drishyam 3 Creates Box Office Record With Rs 66.75 Crore Opening

New Delhi, October 03, 2026

Drishyam 3: The Conclusion has made an impressive theatrical debut, registering the strongest opening among the Hindi films in the franchise. The Ajay Devgn-starrer collected Rs 66.75 crore net in India on Day 1, while its worldwide gross reached Rs 95.10 crore, leaving the film just short of the Rs 100 crore milestone.

As per trade tracker Sacnilk, the crime thriller recorded 60.1% overall occupancy across 15,759 shows on its first day. Its India gross stood at Rs 80.10 crore, with another Rs 15 crore coming from international markets. The combined figure took the film's worldwide Day 1 gross to Rs 95.10 crore, reflecting a strong opening across both domestic and overseas screens.

The latest chapter has moved well ahead of the earlier Hindi releases in the series. Drishyam 2 had opened with around Rs 15.38 crore net and Rs 18.15 crore gross, whereas the 2015 original had collected approximately Rs 5.85 crore net on Day 1. At Rs 66.75 crore net, Drishyam 3 has surpassed both opening figures by a wide margin and has also recorded the biggest opening of Ajay Devgn's career.

Strong advance sales had already provided an indication of the film's pre-release demand. During its eight-day advance booking period, Drishyam 3 registered Rs 80.40 crore gross in India. After excluding blocked seats, the figure stood at Rs 68.47 crore. The film sold approximately 23.47 lakh tickets across 60,115 shows, adding to the anticipation surrounding its theatrical release.

Directed by Abhishek Pathak, Drishyam 3: The Conclusion continues the story of Vijay Salgaonkar, whose attempts to shield his family and keep a carefully protected secret have driven the previous chapters. The new instalment introduces another investigation that puts Vijay under renewed pressure. Ajay Devgn reprises the lead role, with Tabu, Jaideep Ahlawat, Shriya Saran, Rajat Kapoor, Prakash Raj, Ishita Dutta, Mrunal Jadhav, Kamlesh Sawant, Saurabh Shukla and Neha Joshi among the cast. Written by Aamil Keeyan Khan and Parveez Shaikh, the film is produced by Alok Jain, Ajit Andhare, Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak and presented by Star Studio18. The 2-hour-30-minute U/A-certified crime thriller arrived in cinemas on October 2, 2026, beginning its theatrical run with figures significantly above those of its predecessors.
