A tragic road accident in Rajasthan’s Sanchore has raised fresh concerns over speeding after a young child was killed when an SUV struck him on September 25. CCTV footage capturing the fatal collision has surfaced, while police are examining the video as part of their efforts to identify the vehicle and trace the driver.

The incident took place in Sanchore city of Rajasthan’s Jalore district at around 10:15 am. The child, a resident of Indira Colony, had accompanied family members to a shop. While playing nearby, he suddenly moved onto the road and was hit by a speeding Scorpio.

The impact left the child critically injured. Family members immediately rushed him to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

CCTV footage from the area shows the child moving towards the road as two women run behind him, apparently attempting to stop him. Moments later, the Scorpio strikes the child before leaving the scene.

After being informed about the accident, police reached the spot and launched an investigation. Officials are examining the CCTV footage to identify the vehicle and trace the driver who fled after the collision. The video is expected to be an important part of the investigation as police work to establish the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash.
