Ram Mandir Donation Case: Ayodhya Court Sends Eight Accused to Judicial Custody

Lucknow, June 29, 2026

The alleged misuse of donations collected in the name of faith has brought renewed attention to financial accountability and legal oversight in religious institutions. In the Ram Mandir donation embezzlement case, judicial proceedings have now moved into the next phase as investigators continue examining the allegations and financial trail connected to the matter.

An Ayodhya court on Monday sent all eight accused in the case to 14 days of judicial custody. The accused were produced before the Special Judge of the Anti-Corruption Court through video conferencing after the completion of their previous custody period. During the hearing, investigators did not seek any additional police remand, following which the court ordered judicial custody.

The case is linked to allegations of irregularities and alleged embezzlement involving donations associated with the Ram Mandir. Authorities have continued the investigation by reviewing records and collecting evidence to establish the sequence of transactions and determine responsibility. The legal process remains active and further action will depend on the outcome of the ongoing probe.

With the matter now under judicial custody, attention remains focused on how the investigation develops in the coming days. The case has become a closely watched legal issue, with expectations that the proceedings will clarify the allegations while reinforcing accountability in the management of public donations.
