The alleged misuse of donations collected in the name of faith has brought renewed attention to financial accountability and legal oversight in religious institutions. In the Ram Mandir donation embezzlement case, judicial proceedings have now moved into the next phase as investigators continue examining the allegations and financial trail connected to the matter.

An Ayodhya court on Monday sent all eight accused in the case to 14 days of judicial custody. The accused were produced before the Special Judge of the Anti-Corruption Court through video conferencing after the completion of their previous custody period. During the hearing, investigators did not seek any additional police remand, following which the court ordered judicial custody.
