6,000 Participants Set Asia Record with Mass Bhujangasana in Hyderabad Yoga Event

In a large-scale celebration of wellness and discipline, Hyderabad hosted a major yoga event at Kanha Shanti Vanam as part of the 50-day countdown to International Yoga Day 2026. The gathering highlighted the growing global emphasis on yoga as a practice of collective health, unity, and mindfulness.
Around 6,000 participants came together to simultaneously perform Bhujangasana (cobra pose), creating a remarkable display of coordination and commitment. The mass performance was officially recognised by the Asia Book of Records, marking it as a record-setting achievement in synchronized yoga practice.
The event was organised under the framework of promoting yoga awareness and participation, with involvement from institutions under the Ministry of Ayush. It also reflected India’s continued role in taking yoga to the global stage through large-scale public engagement initiatives.
