PM Modi Becomes Most-Followed World Leader on YouTube, Crosses 30 Million Subscribers

New Delhi | 3 March 2026

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has crossed a major digital milestone as his official YouTube channel surpassed 30 million subscribers, making him the most-followed world leader on the platform. The achievement highlights the Prime Minister’s strong global outreach and growing influence through digital communication.

With this number, PM Modi has more than seven times the subscribers of US President Donald Trump, underlining the scale of his online presence. Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro stands second on the list, but his subscriber count is only about one-fourth of PM Modi’s total.

Within India as well, PM Modi leads by a wide margin. His YouTube subscribers are nearly three times more than Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, and over four times higher than the subscriber base of major political parties. Globally, PM Modi’s channel currently ranks as the most-subscribed account among political leaders.

The YouTube milestone comes soon after another record achievement. Last week, PM Modi became the first world leader to cross 100 million followers on Instagram, further strengthening his digital dominance. As per data from Statista, he held the highest approval rating among select global leaders in December 2025 at 70 per cent. Similarly, a recent survey,  based on data collected between February 2 and February 8, 2026, ranked him first with a 67 per cent approval rating.
