Indian Health AI Startup Krigat Tops Global Supernova AI MEA Challenge in Cairo
Cairo | 13 Feb 2026
India’s computer vision–based health technology startup Krigat has won the Supernova AI MEA Champion title at an international startup competition held in Cairo. The contest was part of the Supernova AI MEA Challenge organised during AI Everything Middle East & Africa Egypt 2026. Krigat emerged on top after competing with 75 other shortlisted startups from more than 30 countries.
The Supernova AI MEA Challenge is a global pitch competition focused on artificial intelligence–driven startups. Out of 75 finalists, Krigat secured the overall champion title, while Egypt-based Olimi AI was named the Top Disruptive Egyptian AI Startup. Both winners received a US$10,000 equity-free cash prize in recognition of their innovation and impact.
Krigat develops AI-powered physiotherapy and rehabilitation solutions using computer vision and biomechanics. Its platform analyses human movement through regular cameras, removing the need for wearable sensors or specialised labs. The technology provides real-time feedback for doctors, fitness experts, and patients, making advanced movement analysis easier to access and scale. After the win, Krigat co-founder Priyanshi Tater said, “More than winning, it is the fun, the thrill, and the enthusiasm of being part of the Supernova Challenge and Ai Everything MEA Egypt. We’re really excited about what’s next. AI Everything Abu Dhabi – and a lot more to unfold in 2026. We’ve built a lot, and we’ll be rolling out much more.”
The event also highlighted other promising startups. Olimi AI was recognised for building multilingual voice agents for Arabic-speaking markets. Its system automates customer calls, understands regional Arabic dialects, and converts conversations into useful business data. The Supernova finale also rewarded Sprint AI, Raid AI, and Kemet with industry exposure and participation opportunities at future global tech events. The competition, held on February 11–12 at the Egypt International Exhibition Center, was organised by GITEX GLOBAL and hosted by Egypt’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, aiming to position Cairo as a major hub for applied artificial intelligence.
