Faridabad School Horror: Teacher Stabbed to Death
New Delhi, August 04, 2026
A normal school morning in Faridabad turned into a horrifying crime scene when a masked attacker entered a private school, asked for a teacher by name and launched a fatal assault after she came out to meet him. The shocking incident, which took place close to a police outpost, has once again raised concerns over the safety of women facing persistent harassment.
Sandhya, a 29-year-old teacher at a private school in Sikrona village, was attacked on Wednesday morning. According to the school administrator, the accused arrived at the school gate and asked to meet her. CCTV footage shows the masked man entering the school premises and waiting in the lobby. When Sandhya appeared, he signalled her to come outside, grabbed her by the neck and dragged her out before repeatedly stabbing her in the face, neck and chest. Even after she collapsed, the attacker continued the assault. When the administrator rushed out after hearing screams and tried to intervene, the accused allegedly turned towards him with the knife before fleeing on a motorcycle without a number plate.
The administrator said he had been sitting in his office when he heard screaming from the corridor outside, at around 9:30 that morning. "I saw her lying on the ground, and a man was repeatedly stabbing her with a knife," he said. When he shouted at the attacker to stop, the man turned towards him with the knife still in hand. By the time he looked for something to defend himself with, the attacker had already fled. The administrator then took Sandhya to Al Falah Hospital, where doctors confirmed that she had died.
Police arrested the accused, identified as 21-year-old Amit, a resident of Kot village, within two hours of the incident. Police said he later confessed to the killing. The preliminary investigation found that Amit had become acquainted with Sandhya around two years ago and had repeatedly tried to communicate with her despite her reluctance. A senior official said she had allegedly warned him that she would approach the police over his continued harassment. Sandhya had also recently filed a molestation complaint against him, following which Amit reportedly apologised publicly. Investigators believe the killing was carried out as an act of revenge for the earlier incident.
The brutal killing has left the school community and residents deeply shaken. Beyond the immediate crime, the case highlights how repeated harassment can escalate into extreme violence and underscores the need for timely intervention and stronger protection for women who report such threats.
