India’s triumph at the FIH Hockey Women’s Nations Cup reflects the team’s growing consistency and ambition on the international stage. Delivering a composed and dominant performance in the final, the Indian women’s hockey team secured another landmark moment while strengthening their position among the world’s rising hockey powers.
India defeated New Zealand 2–0 in the final to lift the FIH Hockey Women’s Nations Cup title. The team maintained control throughout the contest and converted its opportunities effectively to seal an impressive victory. With this achievement, India also secured promotion to the next season of the FIH Pro League, adding greater significance to the title-winning campaign.
Following the victory, Hockey India announced a cash reward of ₹3 lakh for each player in recognition of their performance. Members of the support staff will also receive ₹1.5 lakh each as part of the federation’s appreciation for the team’s successful run in the tournament.
