India has welcomed France’s decision to allow visa-free airport transit for Indian passport holders, marking a significant step toward easing international travel and strengthening bilateral mobility ties. Under the new arrangement, Indian travellers will no longer require an Airport Transit Visa (ATV) when they remain within the international transit zone of French airports. This applies to passengers who are not entering French territory and are continuing their journey to another destination.
