Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge has achieved a major milestone at the global box office, crossing the ₹1000-crore mark within just seven days of its release. Starring Ranveer Singh and directed by Aditya Dhar, the spy thriller has quickly established itself as one of the fastest-grossing Indian films ever. It now stands as the second-fastest film to reach this benchmark, following Pushpa 2: The Rule, which achieved the feat in six days.
The film opened to massive numbers, aided by strong paid previews and a high-energy opening weekend. Within its first three days, it crossed ₹100 crore domestically and went on to collect approximately ₹750 crore worldwide by the end of its opening weekend. While weekday collections showed slight fluctuations, the film maintained a steady performance. By day seven, it earned around ₹623 crore net in India and ₹745 crore gross, with expectations of crossing ₹700 crore domestically in the coming days.
Internationally, the film has mirrored its domestic success. It recorded an impressive $7 million opening overseas and collected over $22 million during its first weekend. Despite a minor weekday slowdown, it added another $1.5 million on Wednesday, taking its total overseas earnings to approximately $28.5 million (₹261 crore). Overall, the film’s worldwide collection now stands at around ₹1006 crore, also surpassing the $100 million milestone, a feat achieved by only a handful of Indian films.
With this achievement, Dhurandhar 2 has outpaced several major blockbusters, including Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, RRR, KGF Chapter 2, Pathaan, and Kalki 2898 AD in terms of speed to the ₹1000-crore club. Featuring a strong ensemble cast including R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, and Sanjay Dutt, the film continues to perform strongly in theatres and is expected to set new benchmarks in the days ahead.
