They also raised questions about the treatment provided at a private hospital.
The incident took place near the Damodarpur underpass on the service road in the Mubarakpur area on Friday. The victim, Shiva Patwa, a resident of Shivkuti Noorpur Butat, was returning home on a motorcycle with his friend after buying sugarcane juice. During this time, a woman who was learning to drive a car with her husband reportedly lost control and hit the motorcycle, seriously injuring both students.
After the accident, the couple in the car took the injured boys to Global Hospital in the city. However, doctors declared Shiva dead after examination. The news of the student’s death spread quickly in the village, causing anger among residents and family members.
On Saturday morning, villagers staged a protest by placing the body on the Mubarakpur–Sathiaon main road, leading to heavy traffic and long queues of vehicles on both sides for about half an hour.
