89 Indians Named on US ‘Worst of the Worst’ List as Homeland Security Highlights Criminal Arrests

US | 6  Feb 2026

The US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has launched a new public website titled “Worst of the Worst”, highlighting immigrants who have been arrested and convicted for serious crimes in the United States. According to DHS, the platform lists “criminal illegal aliens” along with their names, photographs, crimes, and countries of origin. At present, the website includes 89 individuals of Indian nationality.

Announcing the launch on social media, DHS said, “DHS has launched http://WOW.DHS.GOV so Americans can see the criminal illegal aliens we are arresting, their crimes, and the communities we removed them from.” The department added that US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) continues to arrest people involved in serious offences such as murder, sexual crimes, and drug trafficking as part of ongoing enforcement efforts.

The website opens with a clear message stating, “Arrested: Worst of the Worst.” It explains that DHS and ICE are focusing on removing the most dangerous offenders, saying they are fulfilling President Trump’s promise of mass deportations starting with high-risk criminals. Users can search the database using filters like name, country of origin, and US state, making the information easily accessible to the public.

According to the data available, the Indian nationals listed were convicted of crimes including rape, sexual offences, drug trafficking, fraud, robbery, assault, kidnapping, domestic violence, DUI, hit-and-run cases, and money laundering. Officials noted that, so far, only one individual on the list has been convicted of homicide, while others are linked to a wide range of serious but non-lethal offences.

Explaining the reason behind the website, Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said, “When it comes to illegal alien crime, every state is a border state.” She added that the goal is transparency and public awareness. DHS also stated, “The Trump administration is removing murderers, pedophiles, terrorists, and other criminals from communities across the country,” underlining its message that public safety remains the top
