Gomti Nagar-Saharanpur Vande Bharat Express to Begin Regular Operations from December 9, Connecting Key Cities in Uttar Pradesh

After nearly a month since its inaugural flag-off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Gomti Nagar-Saharanpur Vande Bharat Express is set to start its regular commercial operations on Tuesday, December 9. This marks the 15th Vande Bharat Express in Uttar Pradesh and is expected to offer faster and more comfortable travel between the state’s key cities. The service will be operated and maintained by the Northern Railway zone.
The train, running as train numbers 26504 from Gomti Nagar to Saharanpur and 26503 for the return journey, will cover a total distance of 535 kilometers in approximately 8 hours and 40 minutes. The route passes through important stations including Daliganj, Sitapur, Shahjahanpur, Bareilly, Moradabad, Najibabad, and Roorkee, ensuring connectivity to both major and intermediate towns along the way.
The Gomti Nagar-Saharanpur Vande Bharat Express will operate six days a week, with 26504 running daily except Mondays and 26503 running daily except Tuesdays. The train comprises eight coaches in total, with seven air-conditioned chair cars and one executive air-conditioned chair car, offering passengers a range of seating options for a comfortable journey.
Passengers departing from Gomti Nagar will board at 15:10 hrs and are scheduled to reach Saharanpur by 23:50 hrs. On the return leg, the train will leave Saharanpur at 05:05 hrs and arrive at Gomti Nagar by 14:05 hrs. These timings have been designed to suit business travelers, daily commuters, and tourists, providing a convenient travel schedule.
Ticket pricing has been set at Rs 1,460 for the standard AC Chair Car, while the Executive Chair Car, which offers additional comfort and space, is priced at Rs 2,685. Interested passengers can book tickets through the Indian Railways booking portal or at railway counters.
The introduction of this Vande Bharat Express aims to significantly reduce travel time between Gomti Nagar and Saharanpur, enhance regional connectivity, and provide a modern, high-speed rail experience.
