Ghaziabad | 5 Feb 2026
A tragic incident in Ghaziabad has come to light after three minor sisters were found dead in the early hours of Wednesday. The girls aged 16, 14 and 11 allegedly died by suicide after jumping from a modified window of their ninth-floor apartment in a high-rise society. Police say an eight-page diary found at the flat offers insight into their state of mind and an intense fascination with Korean culture.
According to the diary, the sisters expressed a strong emotional attachment to K-pop and foreign shows, distancing themselves from their own surroundings. One line in the note reads, “We are Korean and K-Pop and you are India and Bollywood,” followed by the statement, “We love Korean more than our family.” A senior police officer confirmed the contents of the diary.
The note listed 19 things the girls said they “loved”, including “Korean, Thailand, American, London, and Japan-based actors and shows.” It also mentioned their interest in games like “Dobby studio game, Evil Nun game, and Ice scream man,” and repeatedly stated that “Korean and K-pop are our life.”
The diary further revealed family tensions. The girls wrote about trying to introduce their younger brother to Korean culture and feeling hurt when their mother stopped them. “We used to tell our brother that Leno and Kuina [Korean characters] are his brother and sisters,” the note said, adding that they felt scolded often. It also mentioned fear of marriage, especially to an Indian man, and concluded that they decided “to die instead.” Police said the matter is under investigation and the family is being questioned to understand the circumstances that led to the tragedy.
