A tragic road accident claimed the lives of two third-year MBBS students from SN Medical College near the inter-state bus terminus (ISBT) on National Highway 19 connecting Agra and Delhi. The students, identified as Siddh Agarwal (22) of Agra and Tanishq Garg (22) of Hardoi, were riding a motorcycle when an unidentified vehicle struck them on Sunday evening.

The accident reportedly occurred around 6 pm. According to the police, an e-rickshaw driver first reported the incident at 6:02 pm but could not provide an exact location. Law enforcement traced the spot and reached within seven minutes. Despite this, the students allegedly did not receive timely medical attention from passersby before they were shifted to the emergency ward at SN Medical College by their hostel mates and police. Both succumbed to their injuries shortly after arrival, and their bodies were later sent for postmortem examination.

Police are examining CCTV footage in the area to identify and locate the vehicle involved in the collision. Assistant Commissioner of Police Hariparvat confirmed that efforts are ongoing to track the driver responsible. Meanwhile, the deceased students’ families and the college community have expressed shock and grief over the sudden loss.

Siddh Agarwal resided in the Vimal Vatica locality of Kamla Nagar Colony in Agra, while Tanishq Garg was from Hardoi. Fellow students and staff from SN Medical College rushed to the scene immediately after learning about the accident and assisted the authorities in transporting the victims.

The tragic incident underscores concerns over road safety, timely medical response, and traffic monitoring on busy highways. Police officials are appealing to anyone with information about the accident to come forward, emphasizing that identifying the vehicle is crucial for delivering justice and preventing similar accidents.

Authorities have also urged commuters to exercise caution on highways and report emergencies promptly with clear location details to avoid delays in medical assistance. Investigators are reviewing traffic movement, witness statements, and CCTV recordings to reconstruct the events leading to the collision.
